How a fake lip piercing works

This collection has two kinds, and both stay on without anything going through your lip:

• The double lip cuff: two rings side by side, each with a ball at the front. They're joined on the inside, so you slide it over your bottom lip in one go.
• Spring rings: the smooth and the twisted ring. Pull the ring open by the tab, put it around your bottom lip and let go. The spring clips it in place by itself.

Snake bites with no hole

Snake bites are two rings side by side in your bottom lip. With the double fake lip piercing in silver or the double fake lip piercing in gold you get that look in one move. Which ring do you pick for your lip?

Rather have one single ring? Then you've got two options:

• Smooth: the smooth ring in gold and the smooth ring in silver come in 8, 10 and 13 mm diameter. On your lip, 10 mm feels nicest. With 13 mm it stands out more.
• Twisted: the twisted ring in silver and the twisted ring in gold are 13 mm. The twisted pattern catches a little more light, so this is your eye-catching lip ring.

Step by step around your bottom lip

For the double lip cuff:

1. Bend the cuff open a tiny bit with your fingers.
2. Slide it over your bottom lip, with the balls at the front.
3. Press gently until it sits right.

For a smooth or twisted ring, pull it open by the tab, put it around the edge of your bottom lip and let go. Taking it off? Just pull it open again and remove it.

Complete your lip look

A lip ring stands out most when the rest of your look plays along. Pick the same color as your other jewelry, or play with contrast: silver on your lip, gold in your ears.
