What exactly is a fake nose piercing?
A fake nose piercing, also called a faux or clip on nose piercing, sits around the edge of your nostril instead of through it. There are two kinds. A clip on nose piercing has a U shape: the decorated part sits on the outside and a tiny ball on the inside holds it in place. A fake nose ring is a little ring you clip around your nostril. From a distance, a clip with a stone looks just like a real nose stud.
The clips at a glance
- Stone: the classic nose stud as a clip, with one round cubic zirconia stone of 3.55 mm in a smooth setting. Choose the fake nose piercing with stone in gold or the clip with stone in silver.

How to pick your nose piercing, no hole needed
Start with your own style. Want something small for every day? A stone or heart is a safe bet. Up for more bling? Go for the bar or a ring full of stones. On your nose in four steps
- Hold the clip with the opening facing your nose.
- Slide it around the edge of your nostril: the ball goes inside, the decorated part stays outside.
- Press gently and check in the mirror that it's in the right spot.
- Too loose? Squeeze it a tiny bit tighter, very carefully. Pinching? Bend it open just a touch.
