How does a fake nose ring work?

Every ring in this collection sits around the edge of your nostril instead of through it. There are two ways it stays on:

• Open rings: you bend them open a little, put them around your nose and gently push them closed again. Some have a 1.1 mm wire; the moon ring is extra fine at 0.8 mm.
• Spring rings: the smooth and the twisted ring have a tiny spring. Pull the ring open by its tab, put it in place and let go: it clicks itself shut.

Which nose ring size is right for you?

With the smooth ring in gold and the smooth ring in silver you choose the diameter yourself:

• 8 mm: sits closest around your nose, small and delicate.
• 10 mm: the classic size, just a little looser.
• 13 mm: a big ring that really stands out.

The twisted ring in silver and its gold twin come in 13 mm. The twisted pattern catches more light than a smooth ring, so it makes a big, bold nose ring. The moon ring is about 8 mm.

Rings with a detail

Fancy more than a plain hoop? These rings have a decoration you turn to the front:

• Moon: a second thin wire forms a crescent moon, with tiny balls at the ends. Like the fake nose ring moon in silver.
• Star, heart or butterfly: smooth and playful, in gold and silver. Try the nose ring with butterfly in gold.

How to put it on your nose

1. Open ring: gently bend it open a little with your fingers. Spring ring: pull it open by the tab.
2. Put the ring around your nostril, with the opening on the inside of your nose.
3. Gently push an open ring closed again, without squeezing hard. A spring ring you simply let go.
4. Turn the ring until the prettiest detail faces front.

Mixing, wearing and storing
