Size guide

Which size fits you?

Gold-colored and silver-colored fake piercing rings in two little piles on white marble

Which fake piercing size suits you? Only the smooth spring ring comes in a choice of sizes (8, 10 or 13 mm); the other styles have one size, and most of them you adjust by carefully squeezing them a touch tighter or bending them open.

Spring rings: 8, 10 or 13 mm

The smooth ring (also in silver) has a tiny spring. You pull it open by the tab, put it in place and let go: it clicks itself shut. You choose from three sizes, measured as the diameter of the ring:

  • 8 mm: the most delicate size. Sits closest around your nostril, for a small, snug nose ring.
  • 10 mm: the classic size. Around your nose it sits a little looser than 8 mm, around your bottom lip it's the most comfortable and on your earlobe it gives you a hoop look.
  • 13 mm: the eye-catcher. Really stands out on your earlobe or your lip.

For your helix, the top edge of your ear, we don't give a fixed size: put one or more there and build your own ear stack.

The twisted ring (also in silver) works with the same spring, but only comes in 13 mm. On your earlobe it gives a bold hoop look, around your bottom lip an eye-catching lip ring and around your nostril a big nose ring. It works on your helix too.

Tip: torn between two sizes? Hold a ruler next to your nostril or earlobe in front of the mirror. That way you instantly see how big 8, 10 or 13 mm looks on you.

Nose rings and nose studs

Nose studs are U-clips: the decorated part sits on the outside of your nostril and a tiny ball on the inside keeps it in place. Nose rings are open rings that you clip around your nostril or on your helix. Every style has one size. Below you'll see what we know for each style.

Septums

Every septum has one size. The difference is mainly in how it stays on:

Style Size or detail View
Septum tribal Horseshoe of about 19 x 23 mm, which you clip around your septum silver
Septum spikes Horseshoe with three spikes and balls at the ends silver
Septum clip Thin wire with two small hooks, two balls at the bottom gold / silver
Magnetic septum Horseshoe with a magnet in two halves, with 2 balls and 2 spikes to swap gold / silver

Note: the magnetic septum is not suitable for people with a pacemaker or other medical implant. Choose the septum clip instead, which works without a magnet. More styles are under fake septum piercings.

Ear cuffs and lip piercings

The double ear cuff (also in silver) has one size. You slide it over the edge of your ear at the thinnest part, move it along to your conch or helix and press gently. Too loose? Squeeze it a tiny bit tighter, very carefully. It's sold individually, so for two ears you order two.

The double lip piercing (also in silver) is a lip cuff with two rings joined together on the inside. Bend it open a tiny bit with your fingers, slide it over your bottom lip with the balls at the front and press gently until it sits right. In the middle or slightly to the side: you choose. Going to eat or sleep? Take it out first.

Too loose or too tight?

You can adjust almost every style a little. Always do it calmly and in tiny steps: better twice a little than once too much.

  • Nose studs (U-clip): feels loose? Squeeze it a little tighter, very carefully. Pinching? Bend it open just a touch.
  • Open nose rings: softly push it a little tighter or bend it open a tiny bit, without squeezing hard.
  • Spring ring: it clips itself shut, so no bending needed. Around your nose 8 mm sits closest; want it a little looser? Choose 10 mm.
  • Septum horseshoe (tribal and spikes): gently squeeze it a little closed, so it stays around your septum.
  • Ear cuff: too loose? Squeeze it a tiny bit tighter, very carefully.

Frequently asked questions about sizes

Does every style come in several sizes?

No. Only the smooth spring ring comes in 8, 10 or 13 mm. The twisted ring comes in 13 mm and all other styles have one size.

Which ring size should I get for my nose?

Want a snug, delicate nose ring? Go for 8 mm. Too tight for you? Then 10 mm is a little looser. The 13 mm twisted ring makes a big, bold nose ring.

Can I wear a nose ring in my ear too?

Yes. The open nose rings also look great on your helix, the thin top edge of your ear. Gently turn the detail to the front once it's on.

Is a ring sold individually or in pairs?

Individually. Want a ring on both earlobes? Order two.
