Looking for a thin gold nose ring? The moon is the most delicate of the bunch: its wire is 0.8 mm. Want it snug around your nostril? Take the smooth ring in 8 mm. 10 mm is the classic size and sits a little roomier. With 13 mm or the twisted ring you're deliberately going big.

How to clip it around your nose

• Open ring: gently bend it open a little, put it around your nostril with the opening inside your nose and softly press it closed. Never squeeze hard.
• Spring ring: hold the tab, pull the ring open, place it and let go. Closed.
