Tips for your ear

All articles

A fake helix piercing gives your ear a bold edge in seconds, with no needle and no hole. You clip a ring or ear cuff around the top of your ear and you're done. In this collection you'll find everything that fits your helix: delicate rings with a detail, smooth and twisted spring rings and the double ear cuff. A ring is €7.95, the double ear cuff €9.95.

What is the helix?

The helix is the top edge of your ear: the curved rim of cartilage that runs from the top towards the back. A real helix piercing goes right through that cartilage. A helix piercing with no hole simply clips around it. Because that edge is fairly thin, a delicate ring wraps around it beautifully. That way you instantly see if a helix earring suits you. Which fake helix piercings are there?

You choose from four kinds, all sold individually. Most come in gold and in silver.

How to wear a helix earring with no hole

Each type goes on a little differently:

  • Delicate ring: gently bend the open ring open a little with your fingers, put it around the edge of your helix and softly push it closed again. Then turn the heart, star or flower to the front.
  • Spring ring: hold the tab, pull the ring open a little, put it around your helix and let go. The spring clips it in place by itself.
  • Ear cuff: slide the cuff over the thinnest part of the edge of your ear, move it up and press gently.

Never squeeze hard. If something's too loose, tighten it in tiny steps. More steps on how it works.

Building an ear stack on your helix

The best thing about your helix: there's room for more than one ring. Here's how to build a stack without a single hole:

  • Clean: two or three smooth rings side by side along the top edge. Simple, sleek and bold.
  • Cute: a star and a moon side by side. Day and night, on one ear.
  • Full sparkle: the double cuff at the top with the flower or the wave next to it. All in gold keeps it calm.
  • Top to bottom: delicate rings on your helix, the double cuff in your conch and a smooth or twisted ring on your earlobe from the earrings with no hole.

Taking off and storing

Take your rings and cuff out before you sleep or work out. Keep them in the white NONPIERCED box they arrive in, so your stack is back together in no time next time.
