Festival season, carnival, a birthday or just a night out with your friends. These are the moments when you're allowed to go a little extra. A fake piercing is the fastest upgrade there is: a few seconds in front of the mirror and your outfit is done. And the next morning it comes off just as easily.
Five looks to steal
Look 1: max sparkle
For everyone who wants to catch the light. The pavé nose ring in gold has a wide, curved bar full of clear stones at the front. Pair it with glitter on your eyes and a top with some shine. Want even more? Add a second ring with stones to the top edge of your ear. Disco ball energy.
Look 2: punk is not dead
Black eyeliner, a leather jacket and the septum spikes. This horseshoe septum has three sharp spikes pointing down, so it does exactly what you want: stand out. Finish it with a silver twisted 13 mm ring around your earlobe. Perfect for a rock festival or Halloween.
Look 3: tribal and boho
Braids in your hair, lots of layers and a warm, earthy color palette. The septum tribal fits right in. At the bottom there's an edge of points and small balls with a bigger point in the middle. At about 19 by 23 mm it's easy to spot. Wear it with a few small silver rings along your ear for a complete look.
Look 4: snake bites
The double lip piercing in gold gives you two rings side by side on your bottom lip, each with a ball at the front. Bold, unexpected and no hole needed. Add a dark lipstick and you're done. Just keep in mind: take a fake lip piercing out before you eat. So plan your festival snack wisely. More options are under fake lip piercings.
Look 5: the full ear stack
Wear your hair in a high bun or ponytail, so your ears steal the show. Start with a double ear cuff on your helix or conch, add a smooth ring to your earlobe and put a small nose ring on your helix too. Feel free to mix gold and silver. Find inspiration under ear cuffs and fake ear piercings.
How to choose for your party
Think about where you're going. A day in the sun and the mud calls for something you can easily take off and put away. A night at a club calls for something that shines under the lights. And for carnival or Halloween you can go completely over the top. Choose a piercing that goes with your outfit, not the other way around.
Pair it with a temporary tattoo
Want to go one step further? A temporary tattoo really finishes a festival look. Think of a fine line behind your ear next to your ear stack, or a small symbol on your wrist. Our sister brand Tatt4aweek specializes in exactly that. Piercing from us, tattoo from them: the full look without a needle.
How to keep everything in place
Dancing, jumping, crowdsurfing (maybe not that last one). With these tips your fake piercing stays where it belongs:
- Practice at home. Put it on and take it off a few times in front of the mirror, then it'll go fast at the festival. How it works explains it per type.
- Clean and dry. Quickly make sure your skin and the piercing are clean and dry before you put it on. Glitter and sunscreen preferably after it's on.
- Don't squeeze too tight. Too loose? Then carefully bend it a tiny bit tighter, step by step.
- Bring the box. Every piercing comes in a white NONPIERCED box. Handy for storing it when you take it off for a bit.
- Off when you sleep. Heading into your tent? Take it out first and put it in the box.
Tip: bring a spare in your bag. From €7.95 each you've got a backup in no time, and your best friend will definitely want one too.
